The status of the planning applications on Richmond Council’s website has changed. The developer Frendcastle has lodged an appeal with the Planning Inspectorate.

For the 5th year running, Cathy Cooper had a stall at the FORCE Open Day on the Craneford playing fields on 12th September. Many old photographs were on display of the Electricity Works and various other industrial sites in the area.
Hamilton Lofts have submitted new plans for the Electricity Works site comprising 21 flats, demolition of minor buildings and structures and construction of 6 residential units, and 24 parking spaces.

Appeal Ref: APP/L5180/A/09/2110641 & APP/L5810/E/09/2110657 have been dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate for the following main issues:
a) Whether the proposed development would provide a sufficient level of affordable housing in terms of number and tenure mix.
b) The effect of the proposed development on existing facilities in respect of education, health, public realm and open space, playing pitches and transport facilities.
c) The effect of the proposal on sustainable modes of travel.
d) Whether the proposal would achieve the appropriate CO2 emission reductions.
Appeal (APP/L5810L/E/09/2110657/NWF) has been lodged by the developer against Richmond Council for failing to make a decision re Planning applications 08/2870/FUL & 08/3000/CAC within the prescribed time.
Planning Application 08/3871/COU (Change of Use) submitted by Mr Stephen Hurton of Proper Oils for temporary retention of a trailer in the rear yard to demonstrate the production of Biodiesel for a period of two years.
Planning applications 08/2870/FUL & 08/3000/CAC have been submitted by the developer Frendcastle. The applications consist of conversion of existing redundant industrial building into 21 flats, demolition of minor buildings and structures and construction of 6 new residential units, with 24 car parking spaces.
