Cllr Doug Orchard pays visit to gauge resident opinion
Cllr Doug Orchard paid a visit to Hamilton and Talbot residents to gauge opinion about the plans. He said he would support us and suggested a residents meeting in January.
Councillor given tour of Electricity Works, first newsletter published
Cathy Cooper took Cllr David Marlow on tour of Talbot, Hamilton and Warwick Roads and pointed out interesting architectural features in the houses and the old Works. The feedback was positive. She told him that she had written to Richard Brookes but had no replay as yet. Later she received an email from R Brookes saying that he would look at the case for getting a CA status for area. T.R.A.C. seeks alternative designs for the Electricity Works
Cathy Cooper had a meeting with a local architect who is experienced at converting Victorian buildings and has recently completed a project on a listed building in the borough. He said he would examine the buildings and produce a rough feasibility study.
Large number of objection letters on council website
There are now a very large number of objection letters on the Planning website including one from Vincent Cable and from FORCE.
T.R.A.C. members research the history of HEW
Cathy Cooper visits Twickenham Museum to see if there is any information about the history of the Electricity Works. There is nothing so she suggests that when any history is discovered, maybe a board could be put up in the museum about the Works and surrounding area. Peter Lineham has been researching the history in the Local Studies Library in Richmond Town Hall.

More letters in the R & T Times. Cathy Cooper contacted Cllr David Marlow and invited him on a tour of the area with the hope of getting Conservation Area Status. She also visited Dr Vincent Cable at his surgery and to get support for the conservation of the buildings.
